Rachel’s Book news

Romance Con was such a delight! I got to see old friends, make new ones, foist a limited edition Romance Con book mark upon so many readers, eat a lot of Culvers in bed after it was all over, and just generally soak up being surrounded by so many romance lovers.

I’d love to be back in 2025 if they’ll have me (🤞🏻), but definitely put it on your radar if you’re looking for a new Con to try. Milwaukee is also a delightful city! Cheers to the midwest.

Recommendations for Bisexual Awareness Week

It’s Bisexual Awareness Week, so I couldn’t let that pass without recommending some of my favorite books by Bi authors and about Bi characters, and adding on a few that are at the top of my TBR. Honestly, this could have been about 5 slides long, so I’m proud of my restraint.

Let me know if you’ve read and loved any of these, or if this has added any to your TBR!

Writing Corner

Other than meeting my thesis deadline in two weeks, I’m sort of in a lull period. But that’s picking back up in October!

I’m hosting an accountability group on Pacemaker.Press in October with open goal types and targets. This could be for writers, readers, step-getters - there’s so many things you can track on the website with a free account! I’ve explained a lot in my IG post here, but I would love it if you joined us!

Spotify Playlist

Julie Olivia’s If It Makes You Happy released yesterday, and I cannot wait to dive into the coziness of this book sometime soon (like maybe this weekend)? Until then, I’m going to be listening to this fantastic 90’s playlist Julie put together for the book. Nostalgia city, here I come.

New Release Spotlight

My good friend and Panera writing partner, Katie Duggan, released her Sophomore Novel this week, and I want to be sure everyone knows about it.

Katie’s writes “Romances for every body, heart, and mind”, and I absolutely admire the care, concern, and craft that goes into her writing. Go grab Back to Me on Kindle, Paperback, or KU now.

Where to See Rachel

Pre-order links for all signings can be found on the Events page of my website.

2024: I’m so excited for Authors in the Steel City next week! Online ticket sales have ended, but general tickets will be available at the door! I’m also headed to Toledo in November to participate in the Toledo Library’s first ever Romance-Con! Tickets are still available for some of their headlining author talks. Access to the rest of the Con, including other panels and workshops (one from yours truly!) are free and will be first-come, first-serve.

2025: Confirmations for 2025 events are coming in hot! I’m so excited to visit new places and see new faces next year! Tickets for Lust in the City Virginia Beach can be purchased here! Tickets for Romantically Yours Book Con are on sale now. Love & Tech ticket info is coming soon! Apollycon ticket information can be found within the Apollycon Attendee Facebook group.

Affirmation

I’m working through the HB90 Bootcamp this week, planning for the final quarter of 2024. I’m unlearning some of my previous goal setting habits and beliefs and am so excited to continue using this system quarter after quarter in the future. Part of the bootcamp this week was to create a vision board for our ideal life. I created mine on Pinterest, so today’s affirmation comes from that board and work. I’m sharing that board here, if you’d like to take a peak, and get inspired to make your own vision board some day.

Thanks so much for reading. Have a great week!

Romantically Yours,

Rachel
