Thrills & Chills Season

Or, the month we have to endure to get to Peppermint Mocha season. 👻

Rachel’s Book news

Capitally Engaged has somehow been out for over a month? Time just flies when you’re having fun. And man oh man was September full of fun. I rounded out the month at Authors in the Steel City last weekend. It was so much fun to be back the Pittsburgh area, talking to local book lovers about my books. I had some of my local BFFs visit me during the event as well, which just put the whole day over the top of perfection.

In case you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, I wanted to share the wonderful commission @artsy.mica created for Capitally Engaged. I still can’t get over how perfect it is. I’m now official obsessed with art commissions, so stay tuned for much more art in the future.

Paranormal Romance Recommendations

I feel the need to put a disclaimer that I feel as a whole this is one of the spicier round-ups I pulled together. So… enjoy? 😂

Writing Corner

I am hard at work on revisions for my Thesis and drafting Capitally Unexpected, but this week’s writing corner is going to take a different spin.

This week, and many weeks until the end of the month, are going to find me writing out postcards encouraging voters to head to the polls and cast their votes in the General election on November 4th.

This particular activism does come from a PAC that aligns with my personal political beliefs, but I do, at my core, support the right, privilege, and duty of all to vote.

If you’d like to jump in on the postcard action by writing some of your own, I’m happy to mail you a batch - just hit reply! If you’re not able to jump in on writing this time around, but want to sponsor a batch of postcards by contributing to the cost of stamps, just $5.60 pays for 10 postcard stamps.

Spotify Playlist

I loved this playlist last fall and I’m excited to see they switched it up a bit with some new stuff, but still kept All To Well (Taylor’s Version) as Track 3. It’s Scarf Season

Sweater Weather Romances

From Scarf Season to Sweater Weather - it’s time to get cozy. Here are some romances on sale for 2.99 or less through October 24th - including Capitally Matched. If you haven’t had a chance to read yet, Capitally Matched features a great fall day date to Old Town Alexandria. Perfect for getting cozy.

Where to See Rachel

Pre-order links for all signings can be found on the Events page of my website.

I’m headed to Toledo in November to participate in the Toledo Library’s first ever Romance-Con! Tickets are still available for some of their headlining author talks. Access to the rest of the Con, including other panels and workshops (one from yours truly!) are free and will be first-come, first-serve.

Also remember when I said Romance-Con was my last event of the year? Turns out, that wasn’t true. I’ll be at the Old Town Book Fair, Adult Edition on November 9th at Morrison House in Old Town Alexandria. Books, Coffee and Bubbly? Sounds like a great time.

2025: Confirmations for 2025 events are coming in hot! I’m so excited to visit new places and see new faces next year! Tickets for Lust in the City Virginia Beach can be purchased here! Tickets for Romantically Yours Book Con are on sale now. Love & Tech ticket info is coming soon! Apollycon ticket information can be found within the Apollycon Attendee Facebook group.

Affirmation

My cohort member, critique partner, and friend Holly got me a set of shower affirmation cards for my Birthday. I’ve been loving them and want to share one with you.

That’s it from me today everyone. Thanks so much for reading!

Until next time <3

Romantically Yours,

Rachel
