What’s new with Rachel?

Happy November everyone!

Novel November is in full swing! It was a bit of a bumpy start to the week—I always think I’m immune to the time change on day one, and then day two hits and I’m back on the struggle bus. But we’ve recovered - I checked out a new coffee shop earlier this week, and will definitely be heading back. There’s something so “author-like” about being a bustling coffee shop getting out some words. Nothing smutty is happening yet, but that won’t deter me when I get to the good stuff. 😉

We’re at a little over 5,000 words so far - I use Pacemaker.press to help me keep track of what my word count needs to be each day to hit my overall goal based on what I’ve written so far (that much math hurts my head).

Writing Corner and Book News

So, I made a goof. Well, I think it was me and not Amazon, but we’ll never really know.

I found out on Monday that Make You Mine This Christmas wasn’t enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.

I may have cried a little and swore a lot. BUT the moral of the story is - it’s there now, and I’m so thrilled to be seeing people picking up Brody and Austin’s story, now that we’re in the thick of (for some people!) Christmas romance season.

If you ever click on one of my books and notice it’s not enrolled in KU after release, you have my full permission to hit reply and let me know. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Where to See Rachel

Major signings for the year are over, but I’ve got a few local events up my sleeve to finish out 2025.

On Saturday, November 15, I’ll be at the Historic Oakland Holiday Craft Show in Columbia, MD from 10-3. Registration is free - come on out and shop small!

On Sunday, November 30th, I’ll be at Sweet Nothings Book Co in Baltimore, MD for an Author Meet and Greet from 12-3. I’m so excited to check out this adorable Romance Bookstore and Plant Shop in person!!

I know I keep saying it, but 2026 events will be shared so, so soon! So many fun times and travels ahead. ✨

Alright, I’m off to get some more words in, and enjoy a weekend with nothing on the docket but writing and household chores.
