Long time, no newsletter?

Or the one where I can't believe it's July.

What’s new with Rachel?

Oh hi!

It’s been a good while, hasn’t it? I hope you haven’t missed me too much (and if you didn’t even notice I was gone, let’s keep that to yourself, okay?)

A lot’s happened since I last wrote: I traveled for another signing, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, continued to grapple with how to exist as a human with gestures at everything, and oh, yes, I finished up requirements for and graduated with my Master of Fine Arts in Writing Popular Fiction.

When I started the program two-and-a-half years ago, June 2025 seemed so far away. But in a lot of ways, the past five semesters flew by. My brain still hasn’t totally adjusted to the idea that I’m not still in school, and I know I’ll miss the residency periods when I got to spend five days totally immersed in writing craft and business with some of the best people I’ve ever met so much. But I’m excited about what’s up next with my more open schedule. Stay tuned for more! 😉

My co-hort post graduation

It was great to have so many friends and family present on the day of - I got my MFA right outside of Pittsburgh, so lots of people nearby.

The Mister and I are off to Disney World in a couple of weeks (yes, in July. yes, we may melt.) to celebrate our anniversary, graduation, and our birthdays coming up next week. It’s our first real vacation in almost nine years, so we’re pretty excited. 🥰

Writing Corner and Book News

I’ve got some exciting book surprises up my sleeve over the next month or two. (You know people say they have awesome things in their inbox they can’t talk about yet? That’s me.) I can’t wait for you to see what I’m cooking up.

I’m hard at work on Austin’s story in Make You Mine This Christmas - more details on a release date hopefully coming in the next month too!

Finally, it’s that week where everyone’s having a sale, and I’ll admit, I’m no different. 😂

Through the 13th, you can get 25% off signed copies from my website, including Capitally Unexpected for the first time. If you’ve been wanting physical copies of any of my books, now’s the perfect time to order!

Plus, The Brandt Brothers ebooks are all on sale through the 13th as well. You can get the first three books for under $6!

Spotify Playlist

For our anniversary, we went to go see the live action of How to Train Your Dragon, which is one of my husband’s favorite animated movie series. We had a good time (I believe it’s one of the best live action remakes I’ve seen), and luckily, they kept much of the music the same or in the same style.

Do you like free books?

I’m joining with 16 other authors to give away copies of our Christmas Romance books for Christmas in July. The giveaway is open through 1 pm ET today, so run on over to Instagram to enter! If you don’t get there in time, be sure to check out some of these amazing books by all these fantastic authors!
