Happy April!

Introducing a new format for Rachel's Romantic Ramblings

Hi there!
Welcome to a new format for Rachel’s romantic ramblings - nothing like the second quarter of the year to officially kick things off, am I right? I’m hoping to have this newsletter out to you at least once a month (twice a month is my stretch goal!) and am hoping what you see here is what you can expect. I’d love feedback on the new format - what’s working, what you don’t love as much. You can always hit reply and let me know directly!

Rachel’s Book news

Over on Instagram last month, I got a little chaotic and announced the title and tropes for the next book in the Brandt Brother’s series.

Preston’s book will be:
💍Fake Engagement
🛏 Only One Bed/Only One Apartment
🏢 Co-workers/Office Romance
A lot more information will be coming about Preston’s book (A cover! A release date!) by the end of the month, but if you’ll be at Readers Take Denver or Apollycon this month, be sure to swing by my table. I have some sneak peaks for you at those events.

Five recommendations for Baseball Season

Another season of America’s pastime kicked off this week, and what better way to celebrate than with some baseball romance novel recommendations? Keep on scrolling for a deeper look at Wild Card, out today 4/5!

Writing Corner

I’m hard at work on finishing up my pages for my MFA Term Writing Project. I’m hoping to hit “The End” by the end of the semester, so I can officially start revising this story next semester - fingers crossed!

I’m also having a ton of fun writing Preston’s story - fake engagement gives me some new things to play with, allowing me to allow my characters to give into their attractions earlier than ever before. 😈😈

Spotify Playlist

Now that the weather is turning nicer, it’s time to get out for some hot human walks. I had read about Allie Bennett’s Treadmill Struts befoer, but my friend Darrah sent me her profile again just a few weeks ago. While it’s ideal weather to get outside, I’m still going to use these playlists; even if I can’t manually up my speed, I like that these playlists have a set time and are guaranteed to consist of only bangers. This Noah Kahan one is one I did a couple weeks back.

New Release Spotlight

Out today is Staci Hart’s new small-town, baseball romance. I read this one a few weeks back and couldn’t put it down. There’s a reveal that actually made me gasp, and it’s so, so steamy. I’m going to need a copy of that hot man cover for my shelves ASAP, so be sure to check it out if what’s described below sounds like your thing!

The hot baseball player I’m forced to stay with for my best friend’s wedding is off limits.

Remy Winfield has more muscles than manners, and he’s on a mission to get me into bed by way of the filthiest mouth I’ve ever wanted to kiss. He doesn’t care about my long time crush or my certainty that we’re finally about to happen.

Remy's sure I’ll break first and kiss him, and he’ll tease me to the limit to make sure I do. I might be a Lady, but I can still play his dirty little game. It’s perfectly safe, totally harmless.

Until I fall for him.

Suddenly, Mr. Long-Time Crush doesn’t matter at all.

And my best friend can never know.

Where to See Rachel

I’m so excited to participate in my first two signing events this month! Will I see you at Readers Take Denver or Apollycon? Be sure to stop by to see me - I have lots of fun goodies, and something just for the Swifties as we celebrate the release of Tortured Poets Department too. 👀

While both my April events are sold out, tickets are still available for two events I have coming up in September. You can find tickets here for RomanceCon and Authors in the Steel City.

Take what you need for today.

That’s all I’ve got for today folks (turns out it was a lot, huh?). Thanks for sticking with me.

Romantically Yours,

Rachel
