Capitally Matched Release Day
Brandt Brothers Book One is out in the world!
It’s Release Day!
I can hardly believe the day is here! Capitally Matched is out into the world!

If you’ll indulge me a little self-reflection, just a for a minute. A lot of people say the first book is the hardest to finish, because you don’t know if you can do it yet. And there’s definitely something to that. But, if I’m being totally honest, I thought this second book was harder. Part of that may have been the season I was in when I was doing a bulk of the writing, but there was also a voice in my head that says: “What if you could only do it once?” But, that voice was wrong. I wasn’t a one-book-wonder, and I have so many more stories in me left to tell, including four more in this world, with this family I adore, in this love letter to my adopted city. And I hope you’ll stay with me on the ride.
P.S. ARC readers have been jumping into my e-mails and DMs to let me know whose book they think is next and it has been the MOST fun, so please consider this your invitation to do the same once you read! I’ve only given away secrets twice, so your odds are pretty good I’ll do it again.

One of the core tenants of Capitally Matched is a love letter to independent bookstores, so at the top of the list of links below, I’m sharing a link to Capitally Matched from a few of my favorite independent bookstores - they’ll ship!
White Whale Bookstore - Pittsburgh, PA Old Town Books - Alexandria, VA
East City Books - Washington, DC Novel Neighbor - St. Louis, MO
If you like signed books and free gifts, you can always order from my website.
And of course, you can always order a paperback from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
The ebook is available for Amazon or through Kindle Unlimited.
I absolutely understand buying new books isn’t always in everyone’s budget - sharing one of my social media posts about the book, suggesting the paperback to your local library for purchase, or just adding it to your TBR on goodreads or Storygraph means so much. (I do have a giveaway running on my Instagram through midnight 1/18, just FYI.)

If you ever wondered how Capitally Matched and Carry Me Through Christmas were connected, I have a post for you!
I tried my hardest to avoid this energy when writing this post, but I’m not 100% sure I succeeded…

Events
I have three signing events currently scheduled for 2024!
Unfortunately Readers Take Denver and ApollyCon are both sold out. There’s a waitlist for Readers Take Denver and a resale group for ApollyCon.

Tickets for Authors in the Steel City are available now

I’ll have pre-order forms for all of these events available on my website soon!
What I’ve been reading lately
Was I talking about the Game Changers series by Rachel Reid in the last newsletter I included this section? Yes, yes I was. Did I just finish a re-read of the entire series again to kick of the year (making it twice in 4 months)? Yes, yes I did. They’re just that good.
Coming out in just a little over two weeks is Bride by Ali Hazelwood. I think it’s her best book yet; her paranormal is just out of this world wonderful. This book is a werewolf/vampire/omegaverse story, but you’ll still recognize that Ali humor and fast-paced story telling from her contemporaries.
As always, if you’ve made it the whole way to the bottom, thank you so much for sticking with me and being a part of this release day. You’re my favorite.
Romantically Yours,
Rachel
